Bint Thani's Fall / Winter 2016-17 collection at Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD)

Was inspired by a fisherman's journey and further drawing inspiration from UAE shores, the designer kept her color palette vibrant and pretty using orange, navy blue and shades of aqua. Her designs were a presentation of experimental elements like double collars, goat hair vest and embroidered fish net patches across the knees.
while looking at the collection one might think from whom are these outfits designed for as they are not quite practical for an audience at large, however they certainly showed designer's artistic designing skills. Overall the voluminous tunics paired with loose trousers, bold lip color and bare feet caught the most attention.

Glamorous Sequinned & Velvet Dresses. Soltana Couture

Soltana Couture Fall/Winter 2016-17 collection at Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD).

Presented her love for sequins with playful details and head to toe embellishments.
Perfectly tailored jackets worn as a single piece opened the show setting the tone for what followed: short velvet dresses with embellished shoulder pads, ribbon tops paired with embellished jeans, jumpsuits and tutu dresses. Each outfit simply made the sequin work and can add sparkle to our wardrobe.
Soltana's collection was most outstanding and glamorous among all the participating designers and best part was that each piece made a statement. Moreover, high pony tails, subtle make-up and fringe heels were perfect coordinated with her presentation.

'Seguici' Inspired By A Modern Contemporary Woman. Kristina Fidelskaya's F/W 2016.

Kristina Fidelskaya's F/W 2016-17 RTW collection at Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD), named 'Seguici' Italian for 'follow us' is inspired by a modern contemporary woman. Her elegant and timeless collection featuring soft color palate and vintage styles while experimenting with textures, cuts and different fabrics represent the power and independence of the modern woman while maintaining the femininity and elegance.

Tailored pants with sleeveless blazers, dresses with a simple bow on the side and classic capes with exclusive cuts and playful touches made her collection stand out from the rest.

The choice of Minimalistic make-up and hairstyle on the runway complemented the designs throughout the show and the best part about her collection is that the designs are not just wearable for a specific time of the day but they can be easily carried from the morning to evening and even for a classy night out with friends or colleagues. Her designs speak to every modern female out there who represents her femininity and sophistication through fashion. Music and walk was well coordinated and the energetic beats definitely complimented the overall theme of her collection.
